Barbara Hagemann
Barbara has been a lawyer for over 20 years and focuses on all aspects of employment law. Before starting her own law firm in January 2016, she worked for more than ten years as a lawyer at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in Amsterdam and afterwards co-founded an employment law boutique in The Hague. Barbara advises, negotiates and litigates for both national and international clients.

Barbara specializes in employment law. Within the area of employment law, she has an extensive advisory, negotiation and litigation practice. Apart from advising on individual employment matters for large and medium-sized corporations (employers), both national and international, Barbara was frequently involved in advising on and leading reorganizations and collective dismissals.
Experience
Barbara has considerable experience in various sectors with advising and litigating about employment law matters, which include, among others, international perspective, harmonizing and unilateral change of employment terms, management and consultancy agreements, secondment arrangements and issues with social plans, non compete- and relationship clauses. Furthermore, Barbara frequently dealt with the dismissal of managing directors. Barbara’s clients are both companies and individuals.
Experience
Barbara is also a mediator for business relates disputes, with a focus on employment law. Barbara is registered as mediator with the Mediatorsfederatie Nederland (MfN).
